CAE Engineer
Location: Leamington Spa, UK
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of high-quality CAE simulation-based project activities using FE solvers such as Lsdyna, Pamcrash, Optistruct, etc.
- Provide engineering insight to analyses and results by providing reports, including recommend technical changes for problem resolution to the expectation of the client.
- Develop and apply advanced safety/crash methodologies and analysis techniques.
- Perform post-crash test analysis and correlate CAE to test results.
- Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends and new developments in order to apply the correct level of technology.
- Liaise with customers and other EDAG subsidiaries.
- Preparation of detailed technical client presentations for project engineering review.
- Preparation and delivery of technical proposal to customers.
- Support business development activities.
Requirements:
- Degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in relevant position using LS-DYNA.
- Experience with pre-post processor such as ANSA, MetaPost, Animator4, Hyperworks, Oasys Primer.
- A solid understanding of full vehicle and sub-systems design development and a sound knowledge of structures performances.
- Understanding of the vehicle crashworthiness legal and consumer load cases and their requirements.
- Experience with Safety / Occupant / Crash / pedestrian analysis.
- Beneficial to have experience with Stiffness / Strength / Misuse analysis.
- Beneficial to have experience with Optimization (shape, topology, multi-disciplinary).
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Ability to deliver the tasks independently as well as work within a team environment.
